Conversion of clients from SENDMAIL to Sun Internet Mail Server (SIMS) Migration programming of 70,000 sendmail user to Sun Internet Mail Server (SIMS) Programs written in PERL to convert passwd, /etc/alias file and user DB into an LDIF file to be loaded into the SIMS LDAP directory. Migrating var/mail message store into the SIMS mail store database.

Bank of New York, 1 Wall Street, New York, NYSystem/Application Programmer - Broker Dealer Services - MIS Department Duties include: CGI programming using PERL 5.0 on Windows NT 4.0. Dynamic HTML report applications involving user forms for generating custom reports with download options. Using a combination of CGI, PERL and FTP Scripts to dynamically load data files into a web browser and into a HTML table, the help desk and support staff are able to dynamically select client files for review and retrieval. Batch processing using a Web Server to automate batch processes formerly done manually. Prior to this, the support staff would login to a VAX system, execute a series of command line programs and create client data files for client retrieval. With a combination of HTML and CGI, the support staff is now able to create data files for all clients or individual clients. Implementation of Microsoft Internet Information Server 3.0. Implementation and support of Windows NT 4.0. Provided second level support to the AS/400 Helpdesk. Duties included trouble shooting client dialup communication problems into the AS/400, user support, and technical support for the daily operation of the AS/400 system on a 24 hour, seven day a week operation schedule. Light C++ programming for supporting business users on a PC environment using Windows NT. PC support for NT connectivity via TCP/IP protocol to various VAX, SUN Unix and AS/400 nodes. VAX C programming. Evaluation of PC SDK for developing user applications for business operations. |

System Programmer - Broker Dealer Services - Systems Department Programming to support integration of AS/400 into Bank of New York's application environment. Technical training of Data Center operators. Programming to support the system transfer from Bank America to Bank of New York, redesigning methodology and implementation of communications to Bank of New York's existing VAX environment. Supporting and training operations. Redesigned and implemented new batch communications to UNIX, VAX and IBM Mainframe systems. Tech support for clients and business partners, including trouble shooting and error recovery. Systems programming on an AS/400 using COBOL and CL for batch and interactive programs. Maintained the system job scheduler. Configuring and automated QSNADS, ROBOT, CD/NDM and RTAPE products. Data queue programming, configuring of subsystems, configured IPL options and converted business partners from PC Support/Client Access to Telnet 5250. Programming experience with AS/400 API's using user spaces, data queues and messaging API's. Duties also included planning, moving, and testing of two AS/400 model F95 from old site to new site. |
